It would mean a major boost for those with Apple devices and would also help those Pokemon Go players who live in colder climes too. Pokemon Go updates have been top of the news agenda lately at Niantic, with fresh tidbits of info popping up at the Mobile World Congress, as well as GDC 2017. During the Origins of Pokemon GO panel, Hollins reportedly talked about how things were also set to change in the future for those who continue playing the game in 2017.

Using an existing iOS emulator called Gambatte, O'Flaherty Chan was able to run Pokemon Yellow with his own Apple Watch-friendly controls. A previous effort to bring more games to the Apple Watch saw Facebook developers run a barely playable Doom in 2015. While a better effort, Giovanni isn't without bugs, and was created mainly as a proof of concept.
