So, here are the fire and ice Pokémon that will start showing up later today through June 20th. NianticGen 1 IceShellder/Cloyster – All Ice Pokémon are good for sniping Dragonites out of gyms, and Cloyster with the right moves is no exception. Still, it will be one of the most sought-after types in this event and is still a good gym attacker/sometimes defender. Charizard isn't the strongest Pokémon in the game, but can make for a good gym attacker with the right fire moves. Good gym attacker, too.

When Pokemon Go first announced its Solstice Event late last week, they mentioned that players would earn extra XP for certain catch bonuses. Of course, the extra bonuses aren't the only perk of the Solstice Event. Pokemon Go's Solstice Event runs until June 20th. Players also get extra XP for nice, great, and excellent Poke Ball throws, as well as catching Pokemon on their first throw.
