Catching Spinda in Pokémon Go is a little different from the normal method of yanking it off your front lawn. Niantic wants us to capture a bad Pokémon via a bad quest, and I'm not touching it with a ten-foot Pokémon pole. To be fair, Niantic's only offering eight variations on Spinda's coat. That's not so bad—except getting a chance to meet even one Spinda means successfully participating in Pokémon Go's worst task: Curveball-throwing. We have a bad research task that lets you catch a bad Pokémon.

Pokemon Go Field Research List for August 2018

New Field Research tasks have appeared for August 2018 in Pokemon Go. The most notable reward for completing these tasks is acquiring the Legendary Pokemon Raikou, as Niantic previously confirmed. Players have also found shiny versions of Snubbull and Houndour by completing the research tasks that reward those Pokemon. If you complete seven different research tasks on seven different days, then you can catch Raikou. You have to catch the Pokemon yourself using your own Pokeballs, but unlike Raids you don't have to battle it first and you have an unlimited amount of chances to catch the Pokemon.
