A brand new Pokémon has made an appearance in Pokémon Go, causing mass confusion among players. According to Polygon, at the end of a Pokémon Go community event in Japan, a new, never-before-seen Pokémon spawned. The new Pokémon reportedly has a white jelly-like body (a bit like a ditto) and a hexagonal metal nut for a head. Fans have therefore speculated about whether this mysterious new Pokémon was merely a glitch or if it will be seen in Pokémon Go at a later date. This could mean that the mysterious Pokémon is part of a new, unreleased generation which could debut in the upcoming Pokémon Let's Go games, or beyond.

A MYSTERIOUS new Pokémon is baffling players of hit mobile game Pokémon Go. A tweet featuring the strange new beast from Pokémon Go's marketing chief seemed to shoot down that suggestion, however. Some players digging into the game's code have suggested that the mysterious Pokémon is labelled as Kecleon there -- but others have indicated it is listed as being Pokémon 891--which would make it the first member of the ninth generation of Pokémon to appear. Others have suggested that the new Pokémon may be a promised new creature set to appear in the Let's Go! It was first discovered when a programming-savvy fan found an image and a reference to "Pokémon 891" in the game's code. Japanese toymaker Takara Tomy has just unveiled its Big and Soft Hugging Pikachu Plushie (or Mugyu Mugyutto Tsutsumare Nuigurumi Okkina Pikachu, as it's called in Japanese). It's also nice and soft, but in a heart-melting twist, this Pikachu can reciprocate all the squeezes you're sure to give him. Luckily, Takara Tomy is giving indecisive types, or at least their wallets, a little break.
