Will We See Gen 4 With Pokémon GO's Halloween Event?

as declared in The Gen 4 update in Pokémon Go has brought a ton of changes to the popular mobile game. There are even reports of trainers finding a Shiny Shinx after defeating it. Shiny Shinx, and its evolutions Luxio and Luxray, are the first from Gen 4 to officially get their shiny forms in Pokémon Go. Will We See Gen 4 With Pokémon GO's Halloween Event?

Fall is here, and that means pumpkin spice lattes and the imminent onset of seasonal video game events. And Halloween is one of Pokémon GO's most cherished events. Halloween was the first event the game held two years ago, and it helped re-invigorate the userbase at a tough time for the game. No Halloween event would be proper without increased ghost Pokémon activity, and so I'd be pretty shocked if we didn't see that. In the APK the event is considered a "fall event" and not explicitly a Halloween event, which would make a kind of sense considering what we saw over the summer.

Here Are The 24 New Gen 4 Pokémon Now Live In 'Pokémon GO' (So Far)

As it stated in Niantic has been dragging out this release a bit, but Gen 4 has finally arrived in Pokémon GO. Not in full, as Niantic is going to channel Gen 3 and release the 100+ new Gen 4 Pokémon in waves, and we're starting to see who exactly is in the game now. This may not be the full count yet, but it's hard to pin down an exact grouping here. The trailer showed off other Gen 4's like Munchlax, Glaceon and Leafeon, which are evolutions or pre-evolutions of existing Pokémon, but I have not seen reports of those yet. There are a lot of Gen 4 Pokémon that are evolutions of previous generations, but it does not seem any of those are live yet.
