Pokémon Go will soon let trainers change teams

Niantic and The Pokémon Company will finally let Pokémon Go players change their team allegiance in a forthcoming update to the mobile game. A Team Medallion will cost 1,000 PokéCoins when it goes on sale later this month. Players can purchase PokéCoins from Pokémon Go's in-game shop with real money, but they can also be earned through play. There are some other minor restrictions, as outlined in a post on the Pokémon Go website:Any of your Pokémon that are in Gyms when you change teams will be returned with no PokéCoins earned once it's defeated. You also can't battle your own Pokémon, so if you return to a Gym one of your Pokémon is defending, your Pokémon will be returned to you with no PokéCoins earned.

Pokémon Go fans torn over item which lets you change team colour

A Pokémon Go item designed to let you switch in-game teams has left fans torn. Well, Pokémon Go has three teams - Valor (Red), Mystic (Blue) and Instinct (Yellow). The introduction of an item which lets you change team colour is an interesting thing. I have a lot of friends who play Pokémon Go who will say their team choice defines their experience. Still, fans are torn over whether it is a good thing - and whether Yellow team will survive the incoming Instinction.

Soon, change your Pokémon GO team at a cost

As it stated in Soon, change your Pokémon GO team at a cost Niantic is looking to allow its Pokémon GO players a once-a-year opportunity to switch teams at a small price. Niantic is looking to allow its Pokémon GO players a once-a-year opportunity to switch teams at a small price. If you ever wanted to switch between Instinct, Valor, and Mystic teams, the game will soon allow you to change by way of an in-game Team Medallion item. As Tech Crunch reports, a player will be able to switch the team only once a year, which means you have to be very sure about which team you want to pick in exchange for 1,000 Pokécoins. The in-game currency can also be purchased with real money via in-app purchase that will make the team exchange a deal of about USD 8.
