New 'Pokemon' Episode Teases Big Meltan Makeover

It's here Pikachu sees Tim's headboard, two Pikachu ears, and makes for one awkward moment between the two of them. Directed by Rob Letterman, and co-written by Nicole Perlman, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu is currently scheduled for a release on May 10. The official synopsis for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu reads as such:"The story begins when ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry's former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a hilariously wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth who is a puzzlement even to himself.

The Pokemon Sun and Moon anime has recently brought the mysterious new Pokemon Go addition Meltan into the fold, and after Ash and the others reacted to its strange look it seems a makeover is in store. The preview for Episode 112 of the series teases a pretty cute outing for Meltan and Rowlet that sees Meltan experiment with a few new looks. Episode 112 of the series is titled "New Species Discovered! and the preview for the episode sees Rowlet unwillingly pal around with Meltan's adventures. referring to Avengers: Infinity War is nearing its first birthday, but the film feels as fresh as ever. After all, who could have known Pokemon did its own snap way back in 2008? Fans will remember that Avengers: Infinity War ended with a slew of major superheroes like Spider-Man turning to ash, but Jesse predated them a bit. Now, it seems Spider-Man is getting his own Pokemon moment... but fans shouldn't take this viral post too seriously. There's nothing to suggest Avengers: Infinity War had Pokemon on its radar with its dusting, but that could change if Arceus showed up to challenge Thanos alongside Captain Marvel.

'Pokemon' Anime Reveals New Designs for Ash, Misty, and Brock

However, Ash Ketchum will look pretty different, and fans got a close look at his new character design this week. The franchise will drop a new movie this summer that stars Ash and Pikachu, but Pokemon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will do up the leads in a rather unfamiliar art style. To celebrate the franchise's anniversary, the anime team put out the first trailer for its 2019 feature film, and it ended with a look at Ash alongside Misty and Brock. While the anime has incorporate 3D animation techniques before, it seems all of Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will be done in the style. The feature appears to be a remake of the original Pokemon film that premiered in 1999 under the same name.
