This is to complement August's Field Research that all revolve around the Electric-type, focusing on Pokemon such as Pikachu, Electrike and Mareep. Do at least one research task per day and you'll be rewarded with the chance to interact with Raikou - the legendary dog of thunder. Pokemon GO's August update brought in the legendary Pokemon Raikou, as well as a whole set of new research tasks that players can complete to unlock new Pokemon encounters. Then, when you catch one of the feline or canine Pokemon, you'll trigger an encounter with a Snubbull in the wild with the chance of the Pokemon being shiny. If you want to get a shiny Snubbull before the end of August, delete research quests from that don't require you to catch a Skitty or Poochyena, and keep spinning Pokestops until you land the quest. It's worth noting that Snubbull can also be found as a Shiny in the Wild, too, as per r/TheSilphRoad.
