As part of its transition from EX Raid Boss to Tier 5 Raid Boss, Pokemon GO's legendary Psychic-type Mewtwo lost two of its most powerful moves. However, Niantic has seen fit to replace those moves with three more: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, and Flamethrower. With Thunderbolt, Mewtwo is the second best Electric-type in the game, competitive with Zapdos. Essentially, those who catch a Thunderbolt Mewtwo should choose it over Zapdos when the raid boss has moves to take down Zapdos. Still, for those without the legendary Pokemon, this is a welcomed change-up to the raid roster, even though Mewtwo's catch rate was significantly nerfed.
