Pokemon GO Teases New Gen 4 Pokemon Coming Soon

As it stated in report this adWith the addition of Gen 4 Pokemon to Niantic's popular mobile ARG, Pokemon GO, many have been forced into waiting for their favorite Pokemon to be added. Now, we know a new wave of gen 4 Pokemon is inbound, thanks to the official Spanish Pokemon GO Twitter account, which could very well bring some fan-favorite Sinnoh Pokemon into the fold. Considering some sprites for Yanmega, Tangrowth, and more were recently leaked, it may be some new gen 4 cross-gen evolutions. Others think it could be referring to the forthcoming winter event, but until Niantic rolls out this new wave, there's no way to know. After all, 2017's winter event saw the addition of the following: 20 new Gen 3 Water- and Ice-types, Santa Hat Pikachu, free incubators, special boxes, and more.

Pokemon Go Winter Event Announced, Adds New Shiny And Gen 4 Pokemon

The third annual winter event begins on Tuesday, December 18, and once again, it brings back the festive hat-wearing Pikachu for a limited time. On top of that, Niantic says the rare Ice Pokemon Delibird will also be available during the winter event, as will its Shiny variant. Along with the new Pokemon, Niantic will offer a number of bonuses throughout the event. Rounding out the bonuses, Niantic is giving players one Incubator each day when they spin their first Photo Disc. Before the holiday festivities begin in Pokemon Go, Niantic will host a special Raid weekend event from December 14-17.
